A simple birthday card

Hello La-La Land family! Hope you are all having a great Sunday afternoon. :)

I wanted to make a card for my co-worker's birthday and already invisioned using Chef Marci. She was the perfect image for what I had in mind. I chose a light color scheme; soft greens, peaches, oranges and white with a hint of yellow and brown. I altered her pants by drawing in lines to look like plaid and colored them up with the same light green and a hint of gray.

Because the dp (DCWV Linen Closet) was so sparkly I chose to use a very pretty satin ribbon in a light peach color tying a simple knot instead of a fussy bow and adhering it to a pretty mint green card (courtesy of Hanko Designs). Both pieces of paper were die cut using Spellbinders Curved Rectangles. It's always nice to make a card that doesn't have straight lines. I used crystal lacquer on the cake and the bag with the frosting to make it look like ganache.

Don't forget you can purchase Chef Marci along with her other friends in rubbah or digi form in the La-La Land Crafts store. Both types are wonderfully made.

Okie dokie, time for me to scoot. Make sure you upload your creations to the Customer Gallery to be eligible to win a free stamp of choice.

Mahalo for stopping by! Have a wonderful day and a fabulous week!

Hugs,
Lilo
